Joanne S. Scott
Joanne paints in watercolors and acrylics. Her paintings are of Monhegan island, Maine, where she has painted for many years. she attended Boston Museum School, the Rhode Island School of Design and received a BA from the Maryland Institute of Art majoring in printmaking. In the mid 1980's, in New Jersey, she was painting and made prints with her large printing press. Joanne served as president of the Print Council of New Jersey and helped to establish the 1860 House, Montgomery Cultural Center, NJ. Now a resident of Maryland, Joanne has had many exhibitions throuhout the east coast winning prestigious awards, including the Baltimore Museum, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington DC, the Garden State Watercolor Society and the Maryland Federation of the Arts. She was a co-founder of the Princeton Artists Alliance, and has written several books of poetry.
